"It is very important that there was a direct dialog... and that representatives of producers and specialized associations from both sides took part in the negotiations... In fact, this is the first time... It is very important that the associations in different industries have established communication, and next week (April 1 - ed.) they will continue to meet in order to clearly agree on the parameters. Everyone has realized that interaction and cooperation, negotiations, will ultimately have a better result," Vysotsky said.
According to him, meetings between the associations will be held this week, "on April 5," "and if we are talking about such a broad one, it is planned for the middle or second half of April.
He pointed out that each industry whose representatives were at the talks should be worked out by sector, in particular, raspberries, juice, honey, eggs, cereals, and poultry. "And then we will finalize the broader (negotiations - ed.)," Vysotsky said.
"This is the task for April. Everything will be done to implement it as quickly as possible in the first few weeks of April," the Deputy Minister said.
"There is a cautious optimism that allows us to hope that after a few more meetings to fix the final parameters, we will finally be able to solve this problem," Vysotsky emphasized.
The official also said that the issue of transit of Ukrainian grain is being raised at all negotiations. "It is clear that transit should be available without any stops or blockages," the First Deputy Minister summarized.
