According to rosSIA, the head of the public chamber of the so-called "dpr", alexander kofman, said that Bentley's wife, ludmila, said that her husband was killed. He added that Bentley's murder would cause "colossal reputational losses" for the "dpr".
Earlier, Bentley's wife reported that her husband had been abducted by the Fifth Brigade.
"My husband was taken and continues to be illegally detained by the military, tankers, from the 5th Brigade. Russell was harshly detained on April 8, 2024, between approximately 16:20 and 17:00 in the area of the Avtobaza in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk," she wrote.
