MHP introduces the profession of meat sommeliers for the Myasomarket chain
Kyiv • UNN
Meat sommeliers are a new word in the customer experience of Ukrainians.
Meat sommeliers distinguish MHP retail from other chains and give the consumer more than just good service. They are not just salespeople, but cooking consultants.
The main goal of meat sommeliers is to solve most of the questions about the dishes on the customer's table and thus simplify and improve their lives. Meat sommeliers in the Myasomarket chain are specialists with unique skills. First of all, they know customers, understand their needs and sincerely want to help. In addition, they have a good understanding of the assortment in the store, know the basic principles of cooking and combining products, so they are better than anyone else at taking care of delicious breakfasts, lunches and dinners
What distinguishes a meat sommelier from a salesperson? Meat sommeliers are the unofficial chefs of Ukrainian families. They recommend to the customer not just a product from the shelf, but a dish that can be prepared from the products available in the store.
A meat sommelier is a good friend of a guest who knows their tastes, their family's tastes, family culinary traditions, and can offer exactly what this particular person needs. The company plans that customers will follow a meat sommelier between Myasomarkets the way they follow their beauty therapist or doctor.
Meat sommeliers are trained at MHP's Meat Sommelier School. In 2023, the company opened a special training "Meat Market" that is an exact copy of the real one. Nowadays, meat sommeliers go through a full cycle of training - from theory to practice - in real conditions under specially designed programs. The training is funded by MHP.
Meat sommeliers have the opportunity for career growth. An employee who starts as an intern has every chance of becoming not only a senior meat sommelier but also a store manager. There is already an example of this - one of the meat sommeliers from Myasomarket in Kyiv is now the director of one of MHP's own retail divisions."
