At its meeting, the Committee supported the decision of the MPs of Ukraine - members of the Committee - to appeal to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi and the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal to preserve the existing Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
In the context of Russia's unjustified and unprovoked aggression against Ukraine and the ongoing war, it is necessary to ensure the effective functioning of state institutions, in particular the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine
It is noted that Ukraine is an agrarian country, and agriculture and the food sector are vital to ensuring economic recovery.
