A juvenile police officer who humiliated students of a Chernivtsi gymnasium received a warning for incomplete official compliance after an internal police investigation.

A juvenile police officer  who, according to parents, humiliated children of the Integral gymnasium No. 5 in Chernivtsi, was disciplined in the form of a warning about incomplete official compliance. This was reported by the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets, UNN reports

Warning of incomplete service compliance, will no longer work with children.  This disciplinary sanction was imposed on a juvenile police officer following an internal investigation conducted by the Chernivtsi Oblast Main Department of the National Police after I took action

In addition, according to Lubinets,  eight employees of the Chernivtsi Regional Department of the National Police, including senior management, were brought to disciplinary responsibility. 

The Chernivtsi City Council also conducted an internal investigation. The director of the institution was subjected to a disciplinary sanction - a reprimand. 

The education department also held a meeting with the students' parents, during which they received complaints about bullying by the school director, math and German teachers. As a result, a letter was sent to the police to bring these employees to justice.

According to Lubinets, the department of the State Service for Education Quality in Chernivtsi region will soon conduct an institutional audit at the educational institution.

In Chernivtsi, parents of students of the Chernivtsi gymnasium №5 "Integral" appealed to the police because of possible illegal actions of the school management and a police officer. The mother of one of the students claims that the police officer humiliated the children by forcing them to perform physical exercises.

In order to clarify the circumstances, the Ombudsperson's Office initiated a targeted monitoring visit to the gymnasium.
