A tractor driver miraculously escaped injury when his tractor hit a mine and exploded while tilling a field in Kherson Oblast, where nearly 280,000 hectares of land are potentially mined.

A farmer exploded on Russian explosives in the Kherson region, UNN reports with reference to the Kherson RMA.

Details

The incident occurred in a field between the villages of Kostyrka and Novovoznesenskoye. A tractor driver hit a mine while tilling the land. 

"As a result of the detonation, the tractor caught fire. It was a miracle  that the man who was driving the tractor was not injured," the report said. 

The RMA reminded that almost 280 thousand hectares of Kherson land are potentially mined. It is dangerous to work there until they are examined by sappers. Do not endanger yourself!
