Following a competitive bidding process, Ukrzaliznytsia has selected Pontem.UA LLC as the new supplier of food for Intercity+ high-speed trains for the next 5 years.
Ukrzaliznytsia has selected a company to organize passenger catering on Intercity+ high-speed trains, with Pontem.UA LLC winning the tender. The agreement will be valid for the next 5 years. This was reported by the press service of UZ, according to UNN.
To select the best offer from qualified market players, Ukrzaliznytsia invited more than 40 Ukrainian and international companies to participate in the tender. All potential bidders were consulted in advance and consolidated technical requirements were developed. The auction was attended by 7 companies, including the largest gas stations, a restaurant holding, coffee shops, catering companies, etc.

Pontem.UA LLC became the winner of the tender in the SmartTender system. To maximize the involvement of participants in the tender, the starting price was set at UAH 1,898,379 (excluding VAT). Due to the competition during the bidding, the winning company offered twice as much as the starting price - UAH 3,625,500 (excluding VAT).
Ukrzaliznytsia will retain the right to agree on the range and prices of products to keep them affordable for passengers, and will monitor the quality of service through passenger feedback.
It is noted that the winning bidder will additionally undergo all security checks before signing the agreement.
