Ukraine needs not only long-range Patriot systems, but also medium- and short-range systems to counter enemy attacks.

Over the past month, the enemy has been trying to deplete Ukrainian air defense systems, so a new aid package for Ukraine will "make it easier to breathe" because the Defense Forces need  different types of missiles -  not only Patriot, but also medium and short-range air defense systems. Air Force spokesman Ilya Yevlash said this during a telethon, UNN reports.

The new aid package will make it easier for us to breathe, as we desperately need various types of missiles, weapons and air defense. We have seen how the enemy has tried to deplete our air defense system with its combined attacks over the past month. So now, any missiles, to our various systems, modernized Soviet systems, which are carried by foreign weapon carriers, we need

- said the spokesman.

He emphasized that Ukraine needs these munitions because they are a consumable material that constantly needs to be replenished.

"And most importantly, we need not only Patriot systems, but also medium and short-range air defense systems. It is also very necessary in the fight against UAVs," the spokesman added.

Recall

The U.S. is preparing the largest-ever $6 billion military aid package to Ukraine, including Patriot systems, artillery ammunition, drones, anti-drone weapons, and air-to-air missiles, although the equipment could take years to deliver.

According to Fedir Lapiy, head of the National Technical Group of Experts on Immunization, immunization rates in Ukraine have remained almost the same as before the COVID-19 pandemic: only 85% of children received three doses of pertussis, diphtheria, and tetanus vaccines during the first year of life, and somewhat better coverage of measles, mumps, and rubella vaccinations, although these data may not be entirely accurate due to displaced Ukrainians receiving vaccinations abroad.
